DESCRIPTION:Anlässlich des Welt-Aids-Tages am 1. Dezember veranstalten wir zusammen mit der AIDS-Hilfe Dortmund\, dem Förderverein zur Bekämpfung von AIDS und dem Gesundheitsamt eine kostenlose Testaktion auf dem Campus. Ihr könnt euch am 1. und 2. Dezember zwischen 10 und 14 Uhr im Foyer und im Hörsaal 5 der Unibibliothek auf das Virus testen lassen. \nNicole Hohenkirch von der Dortmunder Aidshilfe sagt*: „Es ist wichtig\, von seiner Infektion zu wissen und im Falle einer Infektion die notwendigen Medikamente zu bekommen\, ehe man wirklich krank wird. (…) Bei einer HIV-Therapie unterdrücken Medikamente das Virus im Körper. HIV ist dann beim Geschlechtsverkehr nicht übertragbar.  Gelangt das Virus in den Körper\, befällt es bestimmte Zellen des Immunsystems und schwächt die Abwehrkräfte des Körpers. Ohne Behandlung führt das nach einiger Zeit fast immer zu schweren und lebensbedrohlichen Krankheiten. An diesem Punkt spricht man von AIDS. Mit einer HIV-Therapie lässt sich AIDS verhindern.
