The AStA
Hello and welcome to the website of the General Student Committee (German: Allgemeiner Studierendenausschuss), the AStA of TU Dortmund University.
A student committee is the political representative and executive branch of the constituted student body of the universities within the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. In this case our concern is you, the students of TU Dortmund University.
The AStA is elected annually by the elected student parliament and makes it their mission to represent your interests. We do this by managing the finances of the student body and investing that money into enterprises that make studying at TU Dortmund University better for you. We are responsible for the NRW-wide semester ticket, we organize workshops, parties or informative events for students, we offer a wide selection of consultations for you. Be this legal advice, support if you are struggling with aspects of your studies, advice specifically for international students and more.
