Wenn ihr euch das Semesterticket und den Studierendenschaftsbeitrag überhaupt nicht leisten könnt, dann…
…gibt es den sogenannten Härtefallausgleich. Besonders bedürftigen Studierenden kann der Beitrag in sozialen Härtefällen erlassen werden. Dafür sind im Semesterbeitrag 2,30 Euro für den Härtefallausgleich enthalten. Dies bedeutet, dass dir der Anteil des Semesterbeitrags für das Semesterticket des VRR, sowie der Betrag für die Studierendenschaft in diesem Sommersemester erlassen werden.
Anträge auf Härtefallausgleich können online beim AStA gestellt werden.

ACHTUNG: Die Fristen variieren, jenachdem ob ihr bereits eingeschrieben, oder ob ihr Erstsemestler seid. Für bereits eingeschriebene Studierende ist die Frist dieses Semester der 28. Januar 2022!

… the hardship application might help. Students facing financial hardship may be exempt from paying these fees. For this purpose, the student fees include 2,30 Euros for hardship applications.
These hardship applications can be filed out online on the general students’ committees (AStA TU Dortmund) homepage.
This means that if you face existential financial problems due to the fees for the semester ticket and the student body dues (added amount of 222,87€/per semester), you can apply for a hardship compensation for summer semester 2022 from the general students’ committee.

Please note that the deadline varies based on whether you have been matriculated already, or whether you are a first semester student. If you are already matriculated, the deadline this semester is January 28th!
