Job Advertisment: Web/System administrator

The General Student Committee (AStA) is offering a permanent position as a web/system administrator as of 01.10.2024

The work of the web/system administrator essentially includes the following services

  • Administration of student body websites (AStA, StuPa)
  • Supporting the student councils in IT matters
  • Administration of the student body’s web servers (Ubuntu, KVM virtualization)
  • Cooperation with the ITMC
  • Implementation of business processes with Imixs-Office-Workflow

Prerequisites are:

  • Experience with CMS systems (e.g. WordPress, Joomla, TYPO3)
  • Basic knowledge in the administration of web servers (Linux)
  • Knowledge of PHP, MySQL, Apache
  • Good knowledge of HTML, CSS
  • Initial knowledge of DNS administration
  • Basic knowledge of virtualization desired, handling KVM can be learned

Desirable are:

  • Experience in dealing with Docker and Docker Compose
  • Experience in the administration of the Zammad ticket system
  • Experience in the digitization of business processes

The working hours are 10 hours per week. 6 of these hours are permanent. The other 4 hours are limited to one year and relate to the digitization project for the AStA. The salary is based on the collective agreement of the federal states with pay group 5. The hourly wage is currently €15.81 and from November 2024 it will be €17.03 per hour due to adjustments to the collective agreements.
