GET Racing

Mail: info@get-racing.de
Web: https://www.get-racing.de/

GET racing is the student racing team of TU Dortmund University and the place to go for anyone who is passionate about motorsports. Every year we build a race car that is driven at various Formula Student events throughout Europe. Our large number of members plan, design and build the race car themselves and experience the process of creating a dream.

With more than 40 members from different faculties and courses of study, we not only create something new, but also
spent time together in our free time. Whether it’s karting, barbecuing together or other activities, we also do a lot outside the workshop.

Would you like to get involved in a technical or economic sub-team? Just come along on Mondays at 6 pm! We meet there weekly in the MB I E23. If you have any further questions, take a look at our website, click through it or write to us.

We look forward to seeing you!

UNICEF – United Nations Children’s Fund

Mail: info@hochschulgruppe-dortmund.unicef.de
Web: https://www.unicef.de/mitmachen/ehrenamtlich-aktiv/-/hochschulgruppe-dortmund

UNICEF, the United Nations Children’s Fund, was founded in 1946 and works all over the world to realize the rights of all children, regardless of their skin color, religion or origin. In Germany, Unicef has been active since 1953. It includes more than 8,000 volunteers.

The UNICEF University Group Dortmund was founded in 2005 and has been a registered university group of the TU since the end of 2006. Our team consists of people between 16 and 30 years of age with very different backgrounds. Some of us have just started studying, some are already writing their thesis, others have been working for a few years or are still in school.

We provide information about the situation of disadvantaged children worldwide and seek dialog with the public – through talks, information booths, school visits, exhibitions or press work. We also use creative campaigns to collect donations, since UNICEF is financed by voluntary donations.

We meet regularly to plan activities and exchange information and new ideas. Everyone can decide for himself or herself how much time and energy he or she can contribute and how to get involved – in fundraising campaigns, in school work or in selling UNICEF greeting cards. Furthermore, you can acquire additional knowledge for your volunteer work in conferences and workshops. Our own Internet platform also offers working materials and promotes the exchange of information among volunteers throughout Germany.

In this way, we can make a lot of difference together – for example, giving more children access to education such as going to school and ensuring that more children can be vaccinated, which can help stem the spread of many diseases. All in all, through our involvement we can help create greater awareness that children are personalities with rights of their own.

If you would like to volunteer or simply have a question, feel free to send us an email. We are looking forward to you!

We are a group of students from the Technical University of Dortmund who just enjoy writing – from short stories and poems to blogs and novel-length projects. Our official language within the group is English in order to open it to any student of our uni. However, we basically write in any language which we think fits the individual story best… So if you like to write or would like to get into it, if you are looking for feedback or simply people to share your passion with, feel free to stop by.

Theater AG

We, the AStA-Theater-AG of the TU Dortmund University, focus on improvised theater under the name inTUition. The plays we perform are created in the moment, through random input from the audience – a location, a first sentence, an everyday feat. So each of our stories is unique, unfolding as action-packed or absurd, funny or heart-wrenching.

To do this, we hold rehearsals every Wednesday from 6:00 pm – 7:45 pm, and you are invited to attend as well. There we will work out methods that will help us to improvise theater scenes spontaneously. We will play a lot of theater, discuss our scenes together, and above all: have a lot of fun without having to prepare much. The offer is aimed at absolute beginners and experienced actors alike. Participation is free of charge and can be regular or irregular. So: dare to jump on stage and let yourself be surprised where the scene will lead!

More info is available online at https://www.intuition-improtheater.de/ and we also have a presence on Instagram as @intuition_improtheater

To find out about the space or for any other concerns, please contact us in advance at info@intuition-improtheater.de

Script Theater: a group for traditional scripted theater does not currently exist. If you are interested, please write to us anyway – if there are several people interested, we can put you in touch with each other.

Note: Our rehearsals are happening in German language only. If you are interested in English theater, please write to us anyway – if there are several people interested, we can put you in touch with each other.
