If the ticket has not appeared in the app one week before the start of the semester, please contact the ITMC Service Desk.

If you have questions about the app, please contect the ITMC Service Desk. More information you can find here.

If you have any questions about your student status, please contect the Student Secretariat Infohotline. More information you can find here.

Tool Rental

You can now borrow various tools from us free of charge. Whether you’re renovating your flat share or working on your next craft project, you’ll find the equipment you need here. This means you don’t have to buy anything you’ll only use once. It’s cheaper for you and better for the environment! 🌱

Unlike material and room rentals, all TU Dortmund students can book the tools in our booking system and then pick them up at the office during our opening hours. A deposit may be required for some tools.

Our tool selection:

  • Folding rule
  • Cordless hammer drill
  • Cutter knife
  • Hand saw 55 cm
  • Phase tester
  • Precision screwdriver bit set (42 pcs.)
  • Hammer
  • Spirit level 40 cm
  • Ring spanner set (15 pcs.)
  • Socket wrench set for hexagon socket screws (9 pcs.)
  • Pliers set (combination pliers, diagonal side cutters, needle-nose pliers, wire strippers)

How it works:

  1. Select the tool in the AStA booking system (buchungssystem.asta-dortmund.de) under ‘Tools’ and reserve it for the desired duration (open an account if necessary).
Click here to access the booking system.
  2. Pick it up at the AStA service office during our opening hours by presenting your student ID.
  3. Return it to the AStA by the agreed return date at the latest.

Is there something missing from the tool selection? Then feel free to send us your purchase suggestions at nachhaltigkeit@asta.tu-dortmund.de!

By the way: there are even more items available for loan in the ‘Library of Things’ at the Dortmund City and Regional Library. The only requirement is a valid library card, which you can obtain free of charge as a TU Dortmund University student. More information can be found here.
